We Want You to Register to be a LYRC Voter!


"What's LYRC?" you may ask. LYRC stands for Louisiana Young Readers' Choice. Quality books are presented to young readers every year for approval. Students participate by reading at least 3 of the choices and by voting for their favorite.Would you like to be a voter? Are you in the 3rd, 4th, or 5th Grade? Great! Here's what to do:
  1. Download and print out this form:
  2. Fill in your name and homeroom teacher's name.
  3. Read 3 of the LYRC nominees for 2018.
  4. Complete the review and comments. (Remember: 5 Stars=Awesome, 4 Stars= Great, 3 Stars= Okay, 2 Stars= Not so Much, 1 Star= Definitely Not!)
  5. Have a parent or teacher sign to verify that you have read the book.
  6. Books must be read starting in August of this school year!

Once you have completed the form, turn it in to Ms. Drake, the librarian to receive your Voter's Registration Badge.We will have a Voting Party in January 2016 to submit our ballots.
